Women Cooking Up A Business
Women Cooking Up A Business teaches unemployed women professional skills of cooking and entrepreneurship, as they cook up to more than 200 hot meals for the Elwyn Rehabilitation Center for Adults. This project turns non-earning residents into small business owners and creates new vital sources of income. As the women complete their 1 year program, they enter the work-force and new participants are absorbed into this "business incubator". The participants are learning, working, receiving advice, deciding and designing their own businesses. Ambition and creativity are being instilled and success is breeding more success. The most exciting part of it all is that as one woman ventures out into the world of business and independence another woman is given the chance to make a change in her life.
