Winter Of Culture In Jerusalem 2

Winter of Culture in Jerusalem

Often, December can be a time to squeeze in all the things you’ve been putting off since last January, whether it’s reading the long novel that’s been sitting on your desk, or going to the dentist.  So it’s hardly surprising that December tends to be the highlight of the cultural season, as arts-lovers rush to get in their cultural time before the clock strikes midnight on January 1st. This December, Jerusalem has hosted exciting events such as the International Music Showcase, the Machol Shalem International Dance Festival, and the Jerusalem Jazz Festival, all of which received support from the Jerusalem Foundation. If you’ve missed these wonderful performances however, there’s no need to worry – Jerusalem still has plenty of cultural offerings that you can enjoy before it’s time to break out the New Year’s  Eve champagne. All of the events below involve institutions and projects supported by The Jerusalem Foundation.

1.“Voice of the Word” Conference, Hazira Performing Arts Arena, December 15-17: Hosted by Hazira Performing Arts Arena, the conference seeks to explore the connection between the written word and performing arts, with a focus on the role of screens and cameras in public discourse, and their effect on the creative realm.
