Jerusalem Summer Fun in Teddy Park

Jerusalem Summer Fun In Teddy Park

There is a common Israeli saying stating that all Jerusalem is missing is a beach. With the opening of Teddy Park and its magnificent Sylvia Hassenfeld Family Fountain last summer, it seems a step has been taken into just that direction.

Ever since its inception by the Jerusalem Foundation, Jerusalemites of all backgrounds are packing up their bathing gear on hot summer days when heading towards the Old City. Teddy Park is part of Mitchell Park within the National Garden forming a basin surrounding the Old City and is situated right outside the Jaffa Gate.

Aside from the fountain, the park features the Kenneth and Ann Bialkin Visitors Center which tells the story of Jerusalem's legendary mayor Teddy Kollek and his Jerusalem Foundation. On the interactive project map more than 4,000 of our projects can be located – many of which can give you ideas what else to do while in Jerusalem. How about visiting the Bloomfield Science Museum, the Botanical Gardens or the Tisch Family Zoological Gardens? Maybe you'd like to stay within walking distance of the park and see the latest exhibitions at the Tower of David Museum of the History of Jerusalem, the Museum on the Seam, the Djanogly Print Workshop in Musrara or take a walk in the gardens along the Old City walls? There's much to do in Jerusalem – check it out in Teddy Park!
