Save the Date - International Writers' Festival

This year's International Writers Festival in Mishkenot Sha'ananim, May 13th through May 18th is an event not to be missed.  Writers from Israel and around the world will share their voices and ideas in unique literary discussions ,readings, musical performances, and workshops.  The Festival will explore the different expressions of literary writing, the creative process of the story, the various translation methods, the bridging of cultural gaps and much more during this influential and significant week in the world of Israeli literature.

 

The upcoming events feature renowned authors Amos Oz and David Grossman both launching their newest books, a discussion with Tracy Chevalier following a screening of the movie adaptation of her book, "Girl with a Pearl Earring," and many other riveting discussions with participants from around the world and Israel including Vikas Swarup ("Slumdog Millionaire"), Howard Jacobson ("The Finkler Question"), Aimee Bender ("The Particular Sadness of Lemon Cake"), A.B. Yehoshua, Eli Amir, Meir Shalev, and many more.

 

This years' exciting events will take place at the following locations: the Mishkenot Sha'ananimCultural Center, the Jerusalem CinemathequeTmol Shilshom, and the Yellow Submarine.
